1530639 Peter and John prepare for Passover – Matthew 26:17-19, Mark 14:12-16, Luke 22:7-13, Tuesday April 14 A.D. 29  Jerusalem

And the day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.  Now on the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the Passover, his disciples came to Jesus and asked, saying to him, “Where do you want us to go and prepare for you that you may eat the Passover?”  And he sent two of his disciples, Peter and John, and said to them, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”  And they said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”  And he said to them, “Behold, go into the city and when you have entered into the city, you will meet there a certain man carrying a pitcher of water.  Follow him into wherever house he enters in and you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “My time is at hand.  I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.  Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”  And he will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready.  Make preparations there.  Make ready for us there.’  And his disciples went out, and came into the city, and found things as he had said to them.  The disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.
