0570515 Parable explained in private – Matthew 15:12-20, Mark 7:17-23, A.D. 28 Capernaum

And when he had entered into a house away from the multitude, then his disciples came, asked him about the parable, and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?”  But he answered and said, “Every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted. Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. And if the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

And Peter answered him, “Explain the parable to us.”  And he said to them, “Are you without understanding also?  Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth of man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not go into his heart, but passes into the belly, into his stomach, and then out of the body and then into the latrine?  This he said making all foods clean.  And he said, “But the things which proceed out of the mouth of the man come from the heart, and they defile the man.  For out of the hearts of men come forth from within evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, coveting, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, pride, foolishness, false testimony, and blasphemies.  All these evil things are the things which come from within and defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
