0311201 Jesus withdraws to the Sea and many follow to be healed – Matthew 12:15-21, Mark 3:7-12, A.D. 27 Sea of Galilee
And Jesus, perceiving that, withdrew from there to the sea with his disciples. And great multitudes from Galilee, from Judea, and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon followed him and he healed them all, and commanded them that they should not make him known: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
“Behold, my servant whom I have chosen;
my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased:
I will put my Spirit on him.
He will declare judgment to the nations.
He will not strive, nor cry out;
neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
He will not break a bruised reed.
He will not quench a smoldering wick,
until he leads justice to victory.
In his name, the nations will hope.”
A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him. And he spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they would not press on him. For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him. And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, “You are the Son of God!” And he sternly warned them that they should not make him known.
