1370623 Jewish leaders seek to destroy Jesus – Matthew 21:14-17, Mark 11:18-19, Luke 19:47-48, April A.D. 29 Jerusalem
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant, and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Did you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing babies you have prepared praise?’” And he was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching. And they could not find what they might do, for all the people hung on to every word that he said. And when evening came, he left them, and went out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.
