0850615 Pharisees question man a 2nd time – John 9:24-34, October A.D. 28  Jerusalem

So they called a second time the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”  And he therefore answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know.  One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”  And they said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”  And he answered them, “I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again?  Do you want to become his disciples?”  And they insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.  We know that God has spoken to Moses.  But as for this man, we do not know where he comes from.”  And the man answered and said to them, “How amazing! You do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes.  We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if any man is a worshipper of God, and does his will, he listens to him.  Since the world began it has never been heard of anyone opening the eyes of a man born blind.  If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”  And they answered and said to him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” And they threw him out.
