0732201 Jesus goes to Jerusalem – Matthew 19:1-2, Mark 10:1, Luke 9:51-56, John 7:10, September A.D. 28  Samaria

And it happened when Jesus had finished these words; he arose from there and departed from Galilee and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.  And great multitudes came together to him again and followed him, and he healed them there.  And as he usually did, he was again teaching them.  But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.

And it came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before his face.  And they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.  And they did not receive him, because he was traveling with his face set towards Jerusalem.  And when his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them?”  But he turned and rebuked them.  And they went to another village.
