0200502 Jesus settles in Capernaum and disciples called – Matthew 4:13,-22 Mark 1:14-20, A.D. 26 Capernaum in Galilee

Now after John was delivered up into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand!”  And leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. The people who sat in darkness saw a great light. And to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them a light has dawned.”

From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent and believe in the Gospel of God for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers; Simon, who is called Peter and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”  And they immediately left the nets and followed him. And going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat mending the nets with Zebedee their father.  Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
