0080401 The first miracle, Water to WineJohn 2:1-11, A.D. 26 Cana in Galilee

And on the third day a wedding took place in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.  Then Jesus was also invited, as well as His disciples, to the wedding.  And having a deficiency of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”  And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what is that to Me and to you?  My hour has not yet come.”

His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He may say to you, do it.”  Now there were there standing six water jars of stone according to the manner of purification of the Jews’ having room for twenty or thirty gallons.  Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water,” and they filled them up to the brim.  And He said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the master of the feast,” and they carried it.  When the master of the feast had tasted the water, having become wine, and he not knowing from where it came from (the servants however knowing, having drawn the water), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, “Every man sets out first the good wine and when they might have drunk freely, then the inferior.  You have kept the good wine until now!”  This then in Cana of Galilee was the beginning of the signs of Jesus, and He revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
