0060204 The First Disciples – John 1:35-42, A.D. 26 The River Jordan possibly near Bethany across the Jordan in Judea
Again, on the next day, John was standing with two of his disciples, and having looked at Jesus walking he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” And the two disciples heard him speaking and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What do you want?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being translated, Teacher), “Where are You staying?” He said to them, “Come and you will see.” They came, therefore, and saw where He was staying, and they stayed with Him that day; the hour being about the tenth hour. One of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter. He first found his own brother, Simon, and he said to him, “We have found the Messiah!”, (which is translated, the Christ). He brought him to Jesus. Having looked at him, Jesus said, “You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas,” which means Peter.
